Cards and Letters

I LOVE writing cards and letters to people* It’s so much fun to write about anything and everything, seal an envelope, and know that someone will smile as it appears in their mailbox**.  Letter writing is something that, with email and texting and other forms of electronic messaging, has suffered. Most of the mail we get now is bills and junk.

What with the holiday season, I’ve been thinking a lot about this sort of thing, and I thought I might start a little something new. I’d like to be able to send letters- handwritten, of course- to you guys. Whether they’re for Christmas or for your birthday or for random how-are-you-hope-you’re-well, I’d like to be able to surprise you. If you’re interested, you don’t have to send anything back (although I’d welcome it), you don’t have to pay money, and I promise I won’t stalk you. I just think that as much fun as it is to chat online with my blogging/book friends, it’s the greatest to receive mail from them***!

So if you are interested, fill out whatever you feel like in this form.

You don’t have to fill out your birthday, but if you do I’ll try to send a birthday card! And as for Christmas, I’m aware that not everyone celebrates it so if you don’t, I’ll respect that and not send one. I guess we’ll just have to see how this goes, but I have a lot of ideas for this, and if you sign up, you’ll get to be privy to them! 😉 Anyway, I hope you do sign up because if no one does I’ll be disappointed… sending letters is the greatest.

*and receiving them back. But that’s beside the point.
** not appear strictly, but it will make them happy when they find it. I hope.
